A Maryland Holiday Tradition

Maryland Opera celebrates the holidays with Sounds of the Season featuring stellar young artists performing operatic and holiday favorites.  Each year, in celebration of both opera and the season, we present the most famous Christmas Eve in opera: the Act 1 Finale of Puccini's La Bohème.  These beloved arias and duet set the scene for a magical night of love and goodwill.

The Friday night performance in the Boordy Vineyards Barn will also feature a special silent auction item and a new holiday tradition, an ugly sweater contest.  Wear your best ugly sweater to be entered to win a free bottle of Boordy wine!  Come dressed to mingle and spread holiday cheer while you enjoy a delicious glass of Boordy wine in their beautifully renovated barn.  Food will be available from the Pasta la Vista, Baby food truck before the show starts.
