Honoring Hilda Perl Goodwin

The gorgeous voices of soprano Helena Brown, tenor Andrew Bidlack, and mezzo-soprano Chrystal Williams soar in an afternoon dedicated to the bliss and travails of love. Ms. Brown, who makes her Metropolitan Opera debut this spring, performs Verdi’s triumphant “Ritorna, Vincitor!” and also celebrates love’s softer side with Bernstein’s “Some Other Time,” from On the Town. Mr. Bidlack and Ms. Williams simmer in the sultry, seductive duet “Séguidille” from Bizet’s Carmen. The program also includes lighter fare from the American songbook, including a culminating tutti performance of Cole Porter’s “So In Love,” from Kiss Me Kate – Hilda’s favorite song.
